This glaze doesn’t whisper—it sings. Sweet maple meets gentle heat in a sticky, versatile sauce that’s just as happy brushed on grilled veggies as it is drizzled over crispy tofu. It’s quick to make, easy to love, and totally Alpha-Gal–safe. Keep a jar on hand and let the flavor do the talking.
Ingredients (Alpha-Gal–Safe):
¼ cup maple syrup
2 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp chili garlic sauce (check label for safe ingredients)
1 tbsp tamari or coconut aminos
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
Optional: 1 tsp lime juice for brightness
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients.
Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Let bubble gently for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
Remove from heat and let cool. Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 10 days.
Kick It Up a Notch:
Add a pinch of smoked paprika for depth
Stir in a spoonful of mustard for sweet-heat fusion
Use as a glaze for roasted carrots, grilled chicken, or crispy chickpeas
