● Yields: About 2 cups
● Notes: A thick, tangy, and sweet tomato-based BBQ sauce that's free from common alpha-gal triggers.
● Ingredients:
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup maple syrup or brown sugar
2 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (ensure alpha-gal friendly - no anchovies or meat
flavors)
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
1⁄2 cup zesty Italian dressing (Will be found in another Recipe book coming out soon)
● Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Whisk until well combined.
Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and cook for 15-20
minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened to your desired
consistency.
Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to
to 2 weeks.
